Traffic Police issues appeal to drivers amid rainy and foggy weather conditions

Rainy and foggy weather conditions observed across the country significantly limit visibility on the roads during the night and morning hours. In addition to making it harder for drivers to operate their vehicles on wet road surfaces, it also directly affects the lengthening of braking distance. Under such unfavorable conditions, it becomes more difficult to spot road signs and other road users in time, which requires drivers to be as cautious as possible.

Postxronika.az reports, citing the Traffic Police (BDYPİ), that, considering an increase in traffic intensity on the roads over the weekend, the General Directorate of State Road Police advises drivers to plan their trips in advance. Drivers are asked to adjust their speed to the weather conditions, maintain a safe following distance, and not go onto the road with a malfunctioning vehicle. The law-enforcement agency emphasizes the importance of strictly complying with safety rules during maneuvers.
