32,950 manat in damage caused by illegal tree felling in Azerbaijan

In Baku, Khankendi, Lankaran and Shamakhi, cases of illegal cutting of greenery were uncovered.
Postxronika.az reports that during monitoring measures carried out over the past week, it was determined that illegal felling of trees caused total damage to the environment of 32,950 manat.
Violations were recorded in Baku’s Nizami district, on Mehdi Abbasov Street, in the city of Khankendi, in Lankaran’s Havzava and Shamakhi’s Galeybugurd villages.
As the amount of damage inflicted is sufficient to constitute a criminal offense, the collected materials have been sent to law-enforcement agencies for legal assessment.
