Suspects who stole vehicles were detained in Yasamal and Nəsimi districts

In the capital’s Yasamal and Nəsimi districts, police officers carried out large-scale operational measures related to the theft of motorcycles, scooter and bicycle robberies. As a result of the relevant search operations, three people were identified and detained in the Yasamal area for seizing vehicles belonging to citizens. During the investigation, it was found that one of the suspects had also committed similar criminal acts in other parts of Baku.

Postxronika.az reports with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs that, in the Nəsimi district, two people who stole a scooter and a bicycle with a total value of 4,300 manat were detained, including a person previously convicted. Necessary investigative and inquiry work is currently ongoing into all facts identified by law-enforcement agencies. Police officers are checking whether the detained individuals took part in other similar crimes.

The operational measures carried out against vehicle theft serve to ensure the secure protection of property rights in the city. The rapid exposure of the suspects is a clear indication of the law-enforcement bodies’ prompt activities. Observing security measures to protect citizens’ personal property helps prevent cases of this kind.
