Despite difficult circumstances, Russia will not refuse to carry out its economic and investment agreements with Iran.
Postxronika.az reports, citing TASS, that this was stated by Russia’s foreign minister Sergey Lavrov at a joint press conference held after talks with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi.
The minister said that Russian specialists are gradually returning to the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant. He also emphasized that there are great prospects in the production and transportation of hydrocarbons.
According to Lavrov, Russia’s contractor continues engineering and survey work along the route of the Rasht–Astara railway project, and construction will begin after Iran completes the required documentation.
