Yemen's government declares general mobilization against Houthis
NQ
Yemen's internationally recognized government has declared a general mobilization across the country against the rebel "Ansar Allah" (Houthi) movement.
Postxronika.az reports, citing TASS, that this was announced by the government's SABA news agency.
The lower house of Yemen's parliament approved an appeal by Presidential Leadership Council chairman Rashad al-Alimi to declare a general mobilization. The decision took effect the moment it was announced and will remain in force until the situation that caused it is resolved. The mobilization aims to counter Houthi escalation, protect citizens and the republican system, and ensure state sovereignty.
Lawmakers called on political forces to set aside their differences and coordinate efforts with the Saudi-led Arab coalition.
