A delegation from the Lithuanian Military Academy visited Azerbaijan

Under the bilateral military cooperation plan for 2026 signed between the Azerbaijani and Lithuanian defense ministries, a delegation from the General Jonas Žemaitis Military Academy arrived in our country. The guests first visited the Martyrs’ Lane, paying their respects to the memory of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s independence and sovereignty. Later, the delegation held a series of meetings at the National Defence University, the Heydar Aliyev Military Institute, and the Jamshid Nakhchivanski Military Lyceum.

As reported by Postxronika.az with reference to the Ministry of Defence, detailed information was provided to foreign specialists about the military education system in our country, the training of personnel, and the organization of the teaching process. During the talks, the importance of international cooperation in the field of military education and the exchange of experience was emphasized, and issues of mutual interest were discussed. At the conclusion of the meetings, the parties presented each other with commemorative gifts.

At the end of the visit, the orchestra of the Jamshid Nakhchivanski Military Lyceum put on a model music program for the guests. The bilateral contacts serve to further expand partnership ties between the two countries in the field of military education. The parties also stressed the importance of continuing, on an ongoing basis, experience exchange projects in the future.
