Charles de Gaulle's grandson wants Russian citizenship

Pierre de Gaulle, grandson of former French president Charles de Gaulle, has said he wants to obtain Russian citizenship and live in the country with his family.

Postxronika.az reports, citing TASS, that Pierre de Gaulle said this decision depends solely on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He said he has been working to strengthen ties between Russia and France, and that obtaining citizenship would be a great honor for him. Pierre de Gaulle stressed that he considers Russia a favorable country for family life and raising children.
