Our fighters win three medals at international tournaments

Azerbaijani athletes have returned successfully from international tournaments in full contact shinkyokushin karate held in Latvia and Russia. At the European Championship in Riga, Zamin Farayov, competing in the U21 age category, won a silver medal. At the same event, Məhərrəm Ahmadov, competing in the 65-kilogram weight division, placed third on the podium. As part of the delegation, federation leadership, experienced referees, and the coaching staff provided support to the athletes.
According to the Karate Federation, as reported by Postxronika.az, similar success was also achieved at an international championship organized in the Russian city of Novosibirsk. Emin Ismayilov, representing our country at the prestigious tournament, won a bronze medal in the up-to-75 kg weight category. Members of the national team demonstrated high physical preparation and determined fighting in difficult bouts. The successes gained have further increased our athletes’ ranking points and experience on the international stage.
The Azerbaijan Karate Federation officially congratulated the medal winners and their coaches on the results achieved. The leadership of the organization wished the athletes to conquer new heights at upcoming major tournaments. Work continues to develop the shinkyokushin karate style in the country and to attract the younger generation to sports. The sports community has expressed confidence that our representatives will also raise our country’s flag high at future competitions.
