Water supply temporarily suspended in some areas of Baku and the Absheron Peninsula

Due to planned repair and restoration work on the main water pipeline, restrictions will be introduced on water supply to the capital and surrounding settlements. According to the schedule, there will be a break in the provision of drinking water to certain parts of the districts of Absheron, Binaqədi, Sabunchu, Khazar, Surakhani and Pirallahi. The reconstruction measures carried out by the contracting organization are aimed at ensuring the continuity and safety of the lines. Specialists plan to complete the technical work promptly to restore the network’s normal operation.
Postxronika.az reports with reference to ADSEA that the repair work carried out by emergency-recovery brigades is expected to be completed by the morning of October 7. After the stated period ends, the supply of drinking water in the previous mode will be fully restored. The relevant agency said it apologizes to subscribers in advance for any temporary inconvenience that may arise. Consumers are advised to prepare the necessary water reserves until service restoration.
To ensure reliable water supply for subscribers, similar modernization work in the infrastructure continues in stages. After the restoration process is completed, water pressure will be gradually brought back to standard levels. For emergencies, relevant service teams will operate in a duty roster mode in the areas. Official bodies call on residents to keep taps under control while water supply is being restored.
