Online voting “Choose Your Author” kicks off
RH
As part of the 12th Baku International Book Exhibition, an online vote titled “Choose Your Author” has been launched for the nomination “Most Read Author 2026.” The list, compiled based on submissions from publishers, bookstores and libraries, includes 50 well-known authors. Readers have until October 25 to support their preferred author.
Postxronika.az reports, citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations, that to take part in the voting it is enough to visit yazar.bakubookfair.az or scan the QR code on the poster. Based on the final results, a ceremonial awards ceremony for the winners—the public’s favorites—will be held on October 26. The initiative creates a live communication bridge between readers and authors, further boosting interest in local literature.
Promoting a culture of reading and recognizing the work of contemporary writers plays an important role in the development of the book industry. The online voting format makes it possible to involve a wide readership in the process in a transparent manner. The organized project is of particular significance in identifying the most popular works and authors.
