U.S. President Donald Trump’s level of public support has dropped to a record low, while support for the Democratic Party has increased two weeks before the midterm elections.
Postxronika.az reports with reference to TASS that this is stated in the results of a poll conducted by The Washington Post, the ABC TV channel and the Ipsos company.
According to the survey, Trump’s approval rating fell to 33 percent, while Democrats lead Republicans by 8 percentage points in elections to the House of Representatives. Seventy-two percent of respondents believe the country is developing in the wrong direction, and 65 percent consider a war with Iran a wrong decision.
Forty-eight percent of those taking part in the poll said that their financial situation worsened after Trump returns to the White House in 2025. The U.S. midterm congressional elections will be held on November 3.
