Lavrov: The diesel fuel deal is between Russia and the United States
NQ
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the agreement between Moscow and Washington regarding the supply of diesel fuel is a bilateral matter and does not depend on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s position.
Postxronika.az reports, citing TASS, that Lavrov said this at a press conference he held after the 9th round of the strategic dialogue between Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The minister characterized the European Union’s assessment of the deal as a betrayal of Ukraine and Zelensky’s statement that he has the right to allow the supply as an attempt at self-promotion.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump discussed the supply of oil products during a phone call on October 9. Moscow said it is ready to supply 300,000 tons of diesel fuel in October, 500,000 tons in November, and 1 million tons in December.
