RH
A new complex meeting modern standards for the sale of large and small livestock has been built and put into operation in Shamkir district. The farming facility has been equipped with the necessary infrastructure to protect animal health, conduct veterinary control, and ensure biosecurity. Disinfectant footbaths, isolators, water and feed supply systems, as well as appropriate equipment for measuring weight and temperature, have been installed on the premises.
Postxronika.az reports, citing the State Agency for Food Safety of Azerbaijan (AQTA), that with the opening of this facility, the number of animal markets allowed to operate in the country has reached 23. Based on the assessment carried out by the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, it has been confirmed that the market fully complies with veterinary and sanitary regulations and requirements. Special sections have been allocated in the facility for keeping livestock, displaying them, loading them, and managing waste.
The use of modern-type markets in the regions makes an important contribution to the development of agriculture and to ensuring the safety of livestock products. Such facilities that meet sanitary standards help minimize the risk of disease spread. The new complex will ensure that farmers and buyers can conduct trade in a comfortable, well-organized environment.
