Russia’s special presidential envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, described the situation around Ukraine as “checkmate”.
Postxronika.az reports with reference to TASS that Dmitriev made this remark in response to a statement by David Vance, the independent political commentator of Great Britain, regarding U.S. President Donald Trump not allowing Volodymyr Zelensky to continue the war.
Earlier, Vance said that Brussels and Kyiv were increasingly concerned about Trump’s approach to the Ukraine conflict. He noted that the situation is moving toward peace.
